Pit Bulls - Savage, aggressive, killing machines?
The Pit Bull Terrier is one of the most maligned animals in today's society. In a world where we are taught not to judge fellow humans on race, creed, religion, color sexuality etc, it seems strange that many, including those in authority, will make prejudgments about our best friends based on their breed. Dingo pays the price, again!

A Dog's Paradise?
For a creature that we call man's best friend, we sure dish out some pretty ordinary treatment to them. From outright cruelty to neglect our domestic dogs must sometimes wonder "who need enemies...?". Now, neglect does not not just apply to those whom are supposed to be caring for the animal, but can also apply to those standing by and willfully allowing unsavoury things to happen. Too Many Dogs!
 Every year in NSW alone 60,000 otherwise healthy cats and dogs are put down. There is a serious oversupply of companion animals in our society. All the while authorities, The Australian Veterinarian Association, (who you'd think would support animal welfare, and even the RSPCA do little or nothing to rectify this situation. As with many problems in world it is a complex issue which means the solution is not simple. The solution will also not be found without treading on a few toes and when money is involved, those who have their toes tread on tend to protest quite loudly.
